Who sell's their solar PV system, and how's it work?

We often get asked who might sell their solar PV tariff, more commonly known as the Feed in Tariff, and how's it works.
Over the years we've seen very different people with varying circumstances cashing in on their solar tariff using our Solar Buyback service. More often than not people are starting their journey toward the sale of their property and have enquired with us to the value of the asset on their roof - often pleasantly surprised. It may also surprise you to know that a lot of the time this value isn't realised as part of the 'normal' house selling process, and the solar panels simply pass onto the new owners. So, equally, we have customers who have recently purchased a home with solar panels and have heard the great news that they could release solar equity, and perhaps plan that new kitchen they'd dreamed of.
Another common source of curiosity comes from those customers who have made their money back via the Feed in Tariff payments already, and simply want to realise the cash sooner - to enjoy it during retirement, plan a holiday with the family or even start a business.
The possibilities are endless, and for whatever reason you've found us, you're very welcome!
How do you sell your solar tariff? With cashinyoursolartariff.co.uk it is simple.
All we need are some details regarding your solar PV system; date of installation, system size, meter read and post code - this can all be entered via our enquiries page. Once we have this information, we can provide you with an initial offer, and subject to verification, we can progress to the next stage.
The next stage involves us verifying the data provided and preparing some documents for your review - the solar tariff contract, airspace lease and FiT switch forms. Once you're happy with these documents, you'll sign and return them to us so we can review. Equally, if you would like a face to face discussion with us, that is fine too, we may come to survey the solar array and can combine our visit! Finally, once all the relevant consents have been provided (such as confirming with the mortgage company, if you have one, that our CML compliant lease is approved), we will switch the meter and pay your cash directly into your bank account.
Usually the process takes 4-6 weeks but can shift either way
We're always happy to talk with you about the process, just give us a call or send an email.
